We're rolling in Style these days!

This week was an exciting week for me, but bittersweet for Randal. We traded in Randal's other love of his life, his Tahoe, or what he likes to call the "UAV" (ask him what it means, I've never quite understood) I was never a big fan of the old Tahoe seeing that it was mainly his bachelor mobile, but.... we are now the proud owners of a new one, and I'm in love with it!

It must be pretty great because Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Drive one
(I'm still team Jen though)

Let's Play Catch Up

So, it's been since before the wedding that we last blogged, but tonight is a lazy Friday night so I thought I would catch you up on our wedding, honeymoon and everything else since then.

The Wedding:
The wedding was perfect and even more perfect than we ever dreamed it could be if that is at all possible. Our Wedding song was "Nothing Fancy" by Dave Barnes, and our first dance was to "It Feels Like Home to Me", both of which are very special songs to us. My Dad and I danced to "Stealing Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman, because if you know us, it is definitely our song! Looking back, we can't believe we have been married for over 6 months already and still we want to say thank you to all of our family and friends for making our wedding day so special for us.

Honeymoon:
All we are going to say is it was best vacation we've ever been on and Hawaii is our most favorite place we've ever been..... and we will provide no more details other than we had an AMAZING time ;-)

The last 6 months:
We moved in together after the wedding, and we almost got a divorce, lol just kidding! We both have our moments, which is why we are the owners of an "Oscar Snuggie," but at the end of everyday we are just two best friends who are happily married and we wouldn't want to live with anybody else. We've had a lot of firsts the past few months, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines Day all as a married couple and all were completely wonderful! It's almost officially Spring so we are looking forward to projects around the house of landscaping, staining our deck, and maybe getting new countertops (shhhh... don't tell Randal I mentioned them again)! It's kind of funny that we get excited over house projects these days, but we LOVE them. And last but not least, we both agree that we are more in love today than we were the day we got married, if that's possible, and are enjoying our life together as husband and wife and all that comes with it!

We hope you enjoyed our updates, and we promise we will blog more frequently!

xoxo

Honeymoon in Hawaii

Our honeymoon was at the fabulous Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu! It was supposed to be a wedding surprise from Randal, but too many people knew about it, and needless to say someone let it slip and I found out about two weeks before the wedding! He planned the North Shore in Hawaii because it had been our dream vacation since we were in high school. Also, if you know me and how obsessed I am with the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" you will recognize we stayed at the same hotel where it was filmed!

Enjoy these pics from our trip:

"I DO"

So, it's been six months since we said our "I DO's" but here are a few pics from our big day!

Engagement Photo Shoot

Randal and I had our engagement photo shoot on Saturday in Lynchburg. Lynchburg is where Randal and I got engaged, so we wanted to have our pictures there. We chose the country club and downtown areas for our shoot.

Photographer: Thomas Chaffin
Thomas is a pharmaceutical sales rep. that I work with who is also amazing at photography, so I give all the credit to him for our shoot. :-) Thanks Thomas!

Here are a few of our faves!

Dave Barnes

For those of you who are not familiar with Dave Barnes and his music, I wanted to share a link with you.

I came across his music a couple of years ago and have fallen in love with it. He has an amazing voice and beautiful songs. One of his songs is very special to Randal and I that we are going to have played at our wedding, and I'm not going to say which one so it can be a surprise, but I did want to post one of his new songs and I hope you all love it as much as I do.

Date night on a weekday?!?

For the first time in what seems like a loooong time Randal and I had our very first weekday date night (except for a few special occasions) tonight! For the past almost 2 years Randal and I have traveled back and forth from Williamsburg, Lynchburg, and Saltville, so since he finally moved back this weekend, tonight was the first weekday night we were able to have a "real" date without having to worry about driving back somewhere tomorrow!

Tonight Randal and I went to create our bridal registries. It was so much fun getting to pick out things and plan for things we might need once we say our "I Do's" and move in together! It was definitely a fun experience for us, and honestly I think Randal enjoyed it as much as I did, even though he did hold my purse most of the time while I scanned away, but I did let him take a turn every now and then and he LOVED it! ;-)

Soo excited he's back!

xoxo!
